Spectator Tickets

We are delighted to invite you to Silverstone on 20-21 July 2024 for the return of the live finals of Formula Student this summer, as over 100 university teams from over 30 countries travel to compete in the Institution's biggest and best competition of the year.

Spectator tickets to join Formula Student 2024 in July are now available; join us at Silverstone to get up close to a busy grid of custom-build combustion, electric, hybrid and autonomous racing cars, competing in fast-paced events designed to test teams' vehicle engineering and driving abilities to the limit.

Plus, children 15 and under go free: capture the imagination of your young engineers and enjoy all the passion and excitement of an engineering competition!

Across the weekend

Scrutineering

Vehicles go through thorough technical checks of a team’s work.

Key tests of a car’s design to get them ready for the track events.

Saturday Events

The dynamic events of the competition begin: find out how this year's grid of cars and drivers perform on track between Acceleration and Skidpad in the morning and Sprint in the afternoon.

Acceleration

A 75m speed course down the National Straight, culminating in a run-off for the fastest six cars.
Skidpad

A fast-paced figure of eight circuit, designed to test the handling and manoeuvrability of a vehicle.
Sprint

Teams compete in a time trial event on a winding, 1km Autocross-style course set around Copse Corner.

Sunday Events

The culmination of a year's hard work ends in the gruelling Endurance event, where completion is not guaranteed. Find out which teams will make it to the end of the course and in the fastest time.
