IMechE Focus Webinars 2026

Exploring engineering,
live and online

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR IMECHE FOCUS WEBINAR WEEK: DIGITAL AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES — 12-15 October

We are pleased to announce the return of our IMechE Focus Webinar Weeks, a free-to-access programme of content, tackling some of the most pressing challenges in engineering today.

Drawing on the collective knowledge of the Institution, this three-part initiative brings together top industry experts, innovators, and thought leaders to explore critical topics shaping the profession.

IMechE Focus for 2026 consists of three week-long programmes of live, online learning and discussion sessions: Skills and Recruitment (27 April - 1 May), Power and Energy (1-5 June), Digital and Emerging Technologies (12-15 October).

Each themed week presents a focused selection of insights for all professionals, so you can pick and choose to attend those which are most relevant to you.

IMechE Focus Webinar Week: Digital and Emerging Technologies — 12-15 October 2026

How do we as engineers harness digital tools, AI, and other emerging technologies to design smarter systems, improve efficiency, and enable innovation across the engineering sector? The UK Government has identified that persistent shortages in digital and data skills are limiting the adoption of advanced technologies across technical sectors, highlighting the importance of strengthening digital capability for the future of engineering.

This webinar series will look to explore digital tools, modelling, automation, software reliability, and the wider transformation shaping engineering roles and practice. It will provide insight into the tools and technologies that are redefining modern engineering.
