Summary
Accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM), this is a recognised knowledge-based qualification that enables you to understand the breadth of
skills required to successfully manage a project undertaking.
The syllabus is based on the APM Body of Knowledge, which encompasses all areas of project management including strategic and commercial considerations, together with the technical, organisational and people management skills required to participate effectively in project management.
The ever-changing and dynamic nature of today’s projects highlights the need for proactive management of people, the project strategy and approach, along with the application of sound commercial and project management techniques. This is an internationally-recognised knowledge-based qualification that enables you to understand the breadth of skills required to successfully manage a project undertaking.
The eLearning course is equivalent to a five-day classroom workshop and takes approximately 40 hours to complete. It combines multiple voices, animation and interactive exercises, providing training at a time, pace and location to suit your individual requirements.
In addition to this, you will also attend a minimum of 8 three-hour online revision workshops and have access to over 40 hours of additional learning resources to support your exam preparation.
Who should attend?
This is not an entry level qualification, typical candidates will:
- Work in a project environment
- Have at least 2-3 years of project management experience or be pursuing a related apprenticeship or degree
- Be seeking comprehensive project management knowledge beyond specific methodologies
This qualification is aimed at those with project management experience including project managers, project office personnel, project team members or project officers. It is a suitable progression for APM Project Fundamentals Qualification holders or project professionals with other related qualifications.
If you don't already have the above experience, you should consider the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification before studying for the APM Project Management Qualification.
Suitability assessment
All potential delegates must undertake a short competence assessment with the APM to confirm their suitability and readiness for the course and exam. The assessment benchmarks your performance against the 29 competences in the APM framework.
